Comprehensive Exam
During your first visit, Dr. Allen Ewell will thoroughly assess your teeth and gums to give you all the information you need about the state of your dental health. We offer a comfortable approach to dentistry and will ensure you feel confident in our practice. We will provide recommendations for treatment and may be able to offer a dental cleaning the same day as your exam.
Necessary X-Rays
Routine x-rays help us catch small dental issues that aren’t visible to the naked eye, and they help us give you an accurate picture of your overall oral health.

Will I Have My Teeth Cleaned As Well?
Some patients may have their teeth cleaned at the same time as their dental exam. This will be an additional cost that is often covered by insurance. Our dental exam will determine what type of cleaning your gums need (healthy mouth vs periodontal disease). This will depend on the amount of tartar build up on the teeth and if your teeth have bone loss and gum disease.
Dr. Allen Ewell, or our hygienist, Janel, may be able to take care of your cleaning at the same time as your new patient exam or it may be at a later time depending on your needs and our schedule availability.
What Happens After My First Visit?
If Dr. Allen Ewell doesn’t find any dental health issues during your appointment, we will simply take care of your customized dental cleaning and reserve your next one! If we notice any cavities or other issues throughout your exam or in your x-rays, we will address them with respect and compassion, and offer you honest advice about your treatment options. We’ll give you time and space to make the best choice for your dental health, and we will schedule any follow-up appointments for treatment at a pace that works for you!
What Insurance Do You Take and Financing Do You Offer?
We are contracted with most major PPO plans. We have an In-office Savings Club for those without insurance and offer Sunbit financing to help keep care within your budget. Sunbit requires zero hard credit check, approves credit scores 500+, and lets you choose the length of your payment plan.
