Dr. Allen Ewell

Dr. Allen Ewell has made thousands of patients smile since 2007 with his skill as a dentist and sense of humor. He grew up in St. George, Utah and attended Brigham Young University. He completed his doctorate at Case Western School of Dental Medicine, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Not a fan of the cold, he settled in Arizona immediately after dental school. He has continued to expand his knowledge of restorative and cosmetic dentistry through over hundreds of hours of continuing education. Dr. Allen is committed to providing conservative, esthetic, and comfortable care to his patients. His greatest joy comes from seeing his patients over the years as they become an extension of family. He values listening to his patients, providing treatment options, and engaging them in their healthcare.

Dr. Allen is in his element when he is outdoors. On the weekend you'll find him creating shade structures to protect his tropical trees in his backyard or on a nice long bike ride. When he isn't busy fishing, biking, or hiking, he's probably reading C.S. Lewis, Brian McClellan, Calvin and Hobbes, or the latest Brandon Sanderson book. According to his wife, Dr. Elizabeth, there's no more room on the bookshelves for any more books - so that's what the top shelf of the pantry is for! Over the past few years, he has developed an interest in gardening and enjoys the challenge of transforming the desert into an oasis. If you visit the office at just the right time, you might get to go home with some homegrown tomatoes, figs, pluots, apricots, bananas, and mangoes!

Dr. Elizabeth Ewell

Dr. Elizabeth Ewell has loved dentistry since the beginning when she was a teenager and worked as a dental assistant in her hometown of Boulder, Colorado. She soon saw the value in having a gentle touch and a personable heart when serving her patients. This humanistic side of dentistry encouraged her to major in psychology at Brigham Young University. She completed her doctorate at Midwestern University in 2016 and enjoys seeing patients of all ages. Her proudest moments in her career have been when previously anxious patients have felt at ease and no longer lose sleep over coming to the dentist. She jokes that we have all come to this earth with certain talents - some people can play sports of which she most certainly is not adept, but her talent is getting patients numb without them noticing!

Despite being from Colorado, Dr. Elizabeth did not grow up embracing the great outdoors. Dr. Allen had to carefully plan outdoorsy dates for them that still involved access to running water. Over time, she developed a love of exploring the numerous trails in Arizona and eagerly looks forward to their summer camping trips in Flagstaff. Her designated corner of the bookshelf is dedicated to Jane Austen, Oscar Wilde, and oil painting tutorials. She adores gardening, cooking, and trying new recipes that use their homegrown produce. For several years, she has tutored elementary school children; it has been a privilege for her to be a part of a child's increase in fundamental skills and self-esteem.
